We put the numbers on the page because asking what something costs shouldn't require a phone call. The rate holds steady from January through December — the only exceptions are the statutory holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Easter, Thanksgiving, Family Day), when a small surcharge applies.
Up to two birds in the same cage at this rate. Additional bird in same household: half-off.
Includes daily out-of-cage time in the play room (minimum 1 hr).
Includes 2 hr daily out-time and shoulder/lap socialisation if your bird is into it.
Bigger cages, more food, longer out-time. We cap at small/medium Cockatoo.
By prior arrangement — we want to meet first to make sure the room is right.
Every species reads a boarding stay differently. We've written a short guide on how we care for the birds we see most — what they need, what stresses them, and how the studio accommodates them.
Two short reads for the moment you're actually planning: when you're heading out of town, and when you're working out what a stay will run you.
Done quietly, in a towel, with no drama. Five minutes including reassurance.
Conservative, even, no fly-feathers cut shorter than two below covert. We don't over-clip.
If your bird's beak has overgrown unevenly. We file, we don't clip.
Mail-in feather sample. We pull the feather, you get the result by email in ~10 days.
Within Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury, Sharon, Holland Landing.
30–40 min at your home. Food/water refresh, brief socialisation, photo update.
You drop off in the morning, pick up by 7 pm. Same care as overnight, day-rate only.
The line items other places quietly add to your bill. To us they're just the baseline of doing the job properly, so they're already in the rate.
Three to five frames and a few sentences about the day, sent however you'd rather receive it — email or text, your preference.
Whatever's in your bird's bowl at home is what's in it here. Send the food along with a note on portions and we stick to it.
Before your bird moves in we lay down a clean liner and rinse out the water bowls. Nobody starts their stay on yesterday's mess.
One signature on the emergency form at your first visit is all it takes. After that it sits on file, ready, on the off chance we ever need it.
Somewhere between one and three hours out of the cage each day, scaled to the tier, all of it in a play room that's been properly bird-proofed.
You leave with a short written wrap-up at pick-up — the things they took to, the things they didn't, and anything worth flagging for next time.
We hold two households a week. Earlier bookings get earlier confirmations.
