Northbird is a small home-based bird-sitting studio in Newmarket, Ontario. We collect almost nothing, and what little we do collect goes no further than the reply we send you. Here is the whole of it, plainly told.
Only what you choose to type into the contact form — your name, an email or phone to reply on, and whatever you tell us about your bird and the dates you're considering. There are no trackers planted to follow you around, no accounts to make, no newsletter to escape.
For one reason: to answer you. We read your note, write back, and arrange a meet-and-greet if a stay looks like a fit. That is the entire purpose. Your details are not used to advertise to you, profile you, or anything of the sort.
We never sell, rent, trade, or hand your information to a third party for their own use. No lists, no brokers, no exceptions. The only people who ever see your note are the two of us who run the studio.
If you become a guest, we hold a quiet record of your bird's care notes and dates for as long as you board with us — it's how we remember that your conure hates mornings and loves millet. If we never end up boarding your bird, your inquiry is deleted within a season or so. Nothing is kept forever for its own sake.
The form sends its contents to our email so we can read it; that delivery passes through ordinary email and hosting services, the same plumbing every website uses. We don't add cookies of our own beyond what's needed to keep the site standing. The site itself is plain — no analytics dashboards watching over your shoulder.
You may ask, at any time, what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it erased entirely. Write to info@northbirdnewmarket.ca and we'll take care of it and confirm when it's done. No forms, no friction.
Should our practices ever shift, we'll update this note and refresh the date at its foot. We'd be surprised if it changed much — the practice is small, and we intend to keep it that way.
